Bodleian Libraries Weddings Open Day

This October, the Bodleian Libraries is opening the doors to its historic wedding venues for a special Weddings Open Day, giving couples the opportunity to discover some of Oxford’s most iconic spaces and imagine their special day in this remarkable setting.

Visitors will be able to explore the Bodleian’s beautiful rooms, from the magnificent Divinity School with its intricate stone-vaulted ceiling to the intimate surroundings of Convocation House. The spaces will be specially dressed for the occasion, offering inspiration for both ceremonies and receptions.

Each couple will be personally welcomed by a member of the dedicated Weddings Team, who will provide a one-to-one tour, share ideas and answer questions about hosting a wedding at the Bodleian.

Throughout the day, visitors can also meet a curated selection of local and national wedding suppliers, including florists, cake makers, wedding planners, musicians, stylists and caterers. Beautifully styled tablescapes, floral arrangements, cake displays and live demonstrations will offer further inspiration for creating a memorable celebration.

As an additional highlight, guests will have the rare opportunity to join a special guided tour of the atmospheric Duke Humfrey’s Library, discovering more about the history and secrets of one of the Bodleian’s most treasured spaces.
