Life and Mind Building

The Life and Mind Building is one of the University of Oxford's newest and most innovative venues, bringing together state-of-the-art teaching, conference and event facilities in the heart of the University's Science Area. Opened in 2025, this landmark building combines striking contemporary architecture with flexible, purpose-built spaces designed to support collaboration, learning and engagement.

The venue offers three lecture theatres, each seating up to 150 delegates, with the option to combine two spaces to create a 300-seat plenary theatre. A range of flexible seminar and teaching rooms provides additional space for workshops, breakout sessions and meetings, making the building well suited to conferences, training events and academic gatherings.

Located on South Parks Road opposite University Parks, the Life and Mind Building is within easy walking distance of Oxford city centre, colleges, museums and transport links. With contemporary facilities, on-site technical support and catering provided by BaxterStorey, it offers a modern and welcoming setting for events of all sizes.
