Worcester College offers a unique setting for conferences, meetings and events in the heart of Oxford. Founded in 1714 on the site of Gloucester College, established by the Benedictines in 1283, the College combines centuries of history with outstanding modern facilities across 26 acres of beautiful grounds.

A striking blend of medieval, Georgian and contemporary architecture sits alongside award-winning gardens, an ornamental lake and extensive sports grounds, creating an inspiring environment for delegates from around the world. Despite its tranquil setting, Worcester College is just a five-minute walk from Oxford's main rail and coach stations, providing excellent transport links for both national and international visitors.

The College can accommodate fully residential conferences for up to 250 delegates in single en-suite study bedrooms, making Worcester an ideal venue for conferences, summer schools and residential programmes.

At the heart of the College's conference offering is the award-winning Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre, a dedicated year-round conference venue overlooking the gardens and sports fields. The Centre features the Tuanku Bainun Auditorium, seating up to 170 delegates, alongside seminar rooms, exhibition space and flexible catering areas. Medium-sized conferences, meetings and private events can also be accommodated in the Linbury Building and Nash Suites, while a wide range of additional lecture theatres, meeting rooms and breakout spaces are available during vacation periods.

Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre - Tuanku Bainun Auditorium One of the landmark features of Worcester College, the Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre offers a world-class venue for conferences and events overlooking the College gardens, sports fields and cricket pavilion. This contemporary, award-winning building by Níall McLaughlin Architects sits lightly in its environment. Bright, elegant, and with a high-end finish throughout, it is built with durable oak and Clipsham limestone. The flagship building is centred around the Tuanku Bainun Auditorium, an accessible and beautifully appointed lecture theatre with seating for up to 170 delegates. Two seminar rooms with panoramic windows make the most of the spectacular view. Each of the seminar rooms is set up with a boardroom table for 20 delegates, and includes a built-in screen with AV provision. Similarly the exhibition space – perfect for displaying posters – features dramatic windows that look out across the ornamental lake. An airy foyer forms an interior courtyard that connects the auditorium to the seminar rooms, an exhibition space, and the building’s informal social area. A small servery in the foyer can cater for coffee breaks, finger buffets and drinks receptions. Impressive floor-to-ceiling doors lead to a terrace with views across the sports field towards the cricket pavilion. Donated to the College by alumnus and Honorary Fellow HRH Sultan Nazrin Shah of Perak, Malaysia, the centre is the crown jewel of Worcester’s conference provision.
